Zechariah 8:9 ESV
Thus says the Lord of hosts: Let your hands be strong, you who in these days have been hearing these words from the mouth of the prophets who were present on the day that the foundation of the house of the Lord of hosts was laid, that the temple might be built.
God encourages and affirms those who are building, since the days they first heard the proclamations of the prophets about this effort.
They are to be strengthened even whilst in the work is in progress and yet to be completed.
Any building work, be it a physical building or a ministry being built, involves effort and leads to exhaustion so it’s necessary even in the midst of the building to be strengthened in the Lord.
If not, it is possible to lose focus, get distracted, or even become afraid or disappointed and give up.
“Let your hands be strong …”
