Day 362

by Rev Joel Yong

Revelation 20:6-8
Blessed and holy is the one who shares in the first resurrection! Over such the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and they will reign with him for a thousand years.
And when the thousand years are ended, Satan will be released from his prison
and will come out to deceive the nations that are at the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them for battle; their number is like the sand of the sea.

Satan doesn’t repent, does he?
Not even after a 1000 years.

But what is more surprising is this – after a 1000 years under the reign of Christ, there will still be many amongst the nations, who will be deceived by Satan to wage rebellion against God.

“Their number is like the sand of the sea.”
Don’t we ever learn?
Maybe not.

Join me in this prayer, won’t you?
“Lord, we confess that we are often hard of heart, slow in obedience and yet quick to sin.
Forgive us we pray and lead us by the power of the Spirit to be convicted followers of Christ.
When our resolve weakens, come to us again and make our feet quick to flee from sin, our eyes prone to turn from temptation, our ears deaf to the lies of the Enemy and our hearts drawn closer to Thee.
Without Your Grace to help us in this – we fear we may fall. Lead us O Lord to the Eternal Life that You promised to all who call upon Your name.
Amen.”
