Song of Solomon 8:7
Many waters cannot quench love, neither can floods drown it. If a man offered for love all the wealth of his house, he would be utterly despised.
That is how powerful love is.
It’s an unstoppable thirst and fights against huge obstacles in order to thrive.
It cannot be bought over, no matter how high a buyout offer were offered.
Jesus represented that kind of love for us.
He came in spite of the circumstances, the kind of life, the kind of treatment he would end up facing, the kind of death he would endure, and even after his resurrection, the kind of rejection many would continue to give him …
Despite Satan’s attempts to tempt him and make him give up on his journey and pursuit, he refused it all …
The mission mattered to Jesus because he prized obedience to his Father and in his love for us, sought the salvation of mankind …
