Worship Is a Two-Way Street

Worship is a two-way street. We express our praise, thanksgiving and adoration to the Lord, and He responds with love, revelation and blessing. We should never be too busy singing, instead to make time to wait and listen.

Day 277

by Rev Joel Yong

Acts 20:1-2
After the uproar ceased, Paul sent for the disciples, and after encouraging them, he said farewell and departed for Macedonia. When he had gone through those regions and had given them much encouragement, he came to Greece.

The believers needed encouragement because they were facing persecution and hardship.
It was not easy being part of the early church – people misunderstood the church and even branded them a cult.

As one of its key leaders, Paul took time to travel and encourage these believers because he knew full well that one’s perseverance can weaken in the face of opposition.

He was a chief persecutor of the church before his conversion.

When was the last time you encouraged one whose faith was faltering?
