Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle, set apart for the gospel of God, which he promised beforehand through his prophets in the holy Scriptures,
People who don’t understand God and the Bible, think the Old Testament God is a vastly different one from the New Testament God.
Either that or they think that God is the same in both Testaments but became calmer in the New Testament.
Both are wrong!
The New Testament completes the Old Testament.
What was suggested and hinted to, in the prophecies in the Old Testament – are revealed in the New Testament.
If we only read the Old Testament- we only understand in part. We see in the New Testament that the prophecies point to the coming of Jesus and unveils God’s plan that is the same all along.
God is the same yesterday, today and forever.
He did not send Jesus when all else failed.
He intended all along to send Jesus but He had to let humanity realize the futility of their own efforts and that without God, there is no hope of salvation for any of us from our own efforts.
That is why Paul says – “the gospel of God which he promised beforehand through his prophets in the Holy Scriptures.”
