Give Grace

Let the grace of God lubricate our relationships. Who are we without His grace? Be quick to listen, slow to speak. No need to defend ourselves or fight for our rights all the time. Give grace, don’t just take it.

Day 282

by Rev Joel Yong

Romans 4:18-19
When there was nothing left to hope for, Abraham still hoped and believed. As a result, he became a father of many nations, as he had been told: “That is how many descendants you will have.” Abraham didn’t weaken. Through faith he regarded the facts: His body was already as good as dead now that he was about a hundred years old, and Sarah was unable to have children.

“Through faith, he regarded the facts”- what awesome insight!

It’s a fact that Abraham was biologically unable to conceive a child at that old age.
It’s a fact that even when he was younger, his body somehow still couldn’t – he had reproductive problems.
But though these are the facts – he looked at the facts through faith.

When I look at the world – I see it through lenses.
Without them- I am almost blind given my severe astigmatism and myopia.

When we look at our situation – and see it through faith, our perspective is enhanced in the same way.
What was bleak, now is hopeful.
What was impossible, now seems possible.

Not because of our bodies and abilities.
But because of God and the amazing things He can do.

Regard your situation today through faith and bring it to God and ask Him – He loves to hear His children ask (that is why your pastor always urges you to come for prayer meetings!) .
